Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Partnership
The Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Partnership (ISEP) is a program that aims to improve student outcomes at 12 schools in the Buffalo Public Schools. It is funded by a five-year, $9.8 million grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). We began Beyond the Block with ISEP's support in 2015.
The United Nations
In September 2015, the United Nations set 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to address global issues such as poverty, access to education, and community development. The World's Largest Lesson is a curriculum that teaches students the importance of addressing the 17 SDGs. We draw inspiration from The World's Largest Lesson and help students explore issues in their own and other's communities.
